“It was late afternoon when I first entered the unfurnished property. The beautiful golden hues from the sun lit up the living spaces with a warm glow. I was immediately drawn to the floor to ceiling windows spanning from wall to wall, opening up to stunning views of the River Thames and the iconic Shard building in the distance. From one of the tallest residential towers in London, the sheer elevation of the apartment and distance from the city below, inspired the design intent of creating a seamless colour palette that transitioned from the tonal variations in the sky to the interiors.
Like most condominium developments, the apartment was fitted with modern interior finishes and in this instance, beautiful herringbone wooden floors, an elegant way to create a characterful space.
We were tasked to configure the furniture layout and subsequently the electrical design of the apartment. We designed and supplied all furniture, fixtures and soft furnishings to the property. To counter balance the structural architectural forms and cooler glass of the building, we worked with local suppliers to customize 90% of the furnishings. In all interior projects, I find it is important to be able to differentiate between properties and to create personable interiors that are unique to each space and the end-user. Aesthetically, we integrated organic curved forms; experimented with proportions, size and materiality to reintroduce an element of softness to the overall scheme.”

Transforming the living area with custom furnishings specifically designed for the apartment. - Marrying spray painted high-gloss lacquer finishes and matte wool fabrics adds to the visual intrigue of creating layered moments through design.

DISTINCTIVE BEDROOMS
We integrated unique design details in every room, allowing our client’s to fully relax and immerse in different set ups when spending time in their pied-a-terre up in the clouds. One of the secondary bedrooms (pictured above) includes luxurious custom timber and metalwork hardgoods, as well as a bespoke tall antique bronze studded headboard executed by our trusted suppliers.
